As a new mom, I struggled to find time (or childcare) to get to the gym. By eliminating the 20 minute round-trip drive, I was able to remove some of the time barrier to exercise. Whether you're looking for strength, mobility, or cardio-focused workouts, our growing collection of on-demand classes allows you to stay consistent on your own schedule.
Great question, and the short answer is absolutely! Each class provides ~3 sets of each muscle group to effectively load the muscle for growth. As Doctors of Physical Therapy, we select exercises that are effective yet gentle on the joints. The goal with each set is to approach failure, meaning you could only do a few more reps at that same speed with the same quality/no compensations. If you don't get to that point within each set, you should increase your weight(s).
In general, yes! With that being said, every body is different so if something doesn't feel right to you, take a modification or rest until the next exercise. Both Kate and Ember are pelvic floor specialists and have training in pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercise.
NOTE: this program does not replace one-on-one PT. We always recommend consulting your physical therapist for specific and individualized guidance. You can book a session at Well Balanced here.(www.wellbalancedphysicaltherapy.com/book)
