Functional Dry Needling
I hate to admit it, but I spent a lot of time sitting this month. Between cold weather, snow storms and continuing education courses, I am looking forward to sunshine, grilling and outdoor walks!
I am officially offering dry needling services!
Functional Dry Needling® (FDN) involves inserting a tiny monofilament needle in a muscle or muscles in order to release shortened bands of muscles and decrease trigger point activity. This can help resolve pain and muscle tension, and will promote healing. This is not traditional Chinese Acupuncture, but is instead a medical treatment that relies on a medical diagnosis to be effective.
The needle does not have any medication. Nothing is injected into your body, hence the word "dry". The needle allows me to target tissues that I am not able to reach with my hands! Cool huh?!
It is considered a safe and effective treatment for a variety of conditions, including low back pain, sports injuries, headaches and migraines, muscle strains, decreased flexibility and more. Often we see immediate results during your first session!
I am excited to offer this service to women like you so you can stay active and moving without medications, injections or surgery.
I appreciate all the support and look forward to sharing more to empower women like you to live an active, healthy and well-balanced life. As always, my goal is to help you feel your best. Check out my Instagram to learn more!
